Oct. 6: Wisconsin Writers Association annual conference

I'll give the Friday dinner talk at this annual conference of Wisconsin writers (Kathleen Ernst is the Saturday keynote speaker). Working topic: How to Be a Wisconsin Writer (with examples drawn from Wisconsin Literary Luminaries). Info on WWA and the conference:

Oct. 28: Brookfield Public Library's Meet the Authors event

I'm taking part in the Brookfield Library's Meet the Authors event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Fellow authors Paul J. Hoffman and Kathy Flanigan will also be part of the fun. Books will be on sale. Witty remarks likely to abound. The library is at 1900 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, WI 53005.

I've been asked to speak on a panel about Wisconsin native Laura Ingalls Wilder during the festival. Details (and the names of my fellow panelists) to be announced.
